Goods in Transit

This policy covers loss, destruction or damage to the goods while in transit by a lorry, train or any other land conveyance or while temporarily housed in the ordinary course of transit within the territorial limit caused by named perils or accidental means.

There are two (2) types of cover afforded under this class of insurance:

1. Inland Transit (All Risks) Clause covering against all risks of loss or damage to the insured goods while in transit by road/rail

2. Inland Transit Clause (Lorry Clause) covering against loss or damage to the insured goods while in transit by road/rail caused by fire, lightning, breakdown of bridges, collision, overturning or derailment. Loss as a result of theft is not covered.
