A COVID-19 update for our customers

In accordance with the announcements by the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM), Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) and Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA), AXA AFFIN Life Insurance medical cards currently exclude cover COVID-19 medical and hospitalisation claims.

Our medical policies carry an exclusion of communicable diseases requiring quarantine by law. Last year we initiated a special waiver for the exclusion on a goodwill basis due to COVID-19. The waiver ended 19th January 2021.

We are currently also working closely with BNM and will be pursuing other avenues to assist our customers during this period.
